This website is dedicated to metalheads across Indonesia in particular, and to metal fans around the world in general. We built this site purely out of our passion and love for metal music, as well as to help promote both local and international bands that play various metal subgenres — especially Black Metal, Death Metal, Symphonic Metal, Gothic Metal, and other styles that we feel are dark enough to feature here.
Most of the albums you’ll find on this site come from our personal collection, which we’ve carefully amassed over several decades. We’ve been part of the metal scene for quite a long time. Back in 2009, we first launched this project on a free Blogspot platform. Later, we moved to musikgelap.org, which ran until it went offline in 2022. Now, we’re back with a brand-new domain — darkestsound.my.id — continuing our mission to be an online metal library, where visitors can stream full albums in high quality (usually 320kbps MP3) and also download them in archive format. All of this is offered through a clean, ad-free interface with fast download speeds.
For those of you who end up here — whether by chance or by choice — please note that to fully access our content, you’ll need to register and create an account. Once registered, you’ll unlock full access to all of our posts, especially the download sections.
